Who told you that?
Knowing what God says about you and life, in general, will influence every decision you make. If you doubt this is true, pick up your Bible and turn to Genesis 3:1-13, and you’ll see how Satan used this question to bring sin into God’s perfect world.
Our beliefs drive our victories and our defeats; even more important, they determine our level of intimacy with God. For believers in Jesus, the Bible is not only our road map for life; it’s the ONLY resource we can trust.
In Paul’s second letter to Timothy, he wrote,
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. (2 Timothy 3:16 NLT)
The Greek word translated as inspired is only used once in Scripture and has a single meaning – Given by inspiration of God. Friends, we can trust the Bible without reservation. When we do, we find it’s “useful” for helping us grasp all the truth we need to live God’s way and not the ways of this broken world.
Friends, Jesus understands our plight living in this world that operates contrary to God’s ways. He loves us so much that He has given us a step-by-step map so we’ll know how to walk His way.
Sending peace, love, and prayers to all!
